Who We Are

On behalf of my ‘Ohana, Iʻd like to express my sincerest gratitude for choosing us. We are honored to have you as our guests. My family, the Baptiste ‘Ohana, is proud to be the only Native Hawaiian owned and operated Nā Pali Boat Tour company out of Hanalei, Kaua’i. We want to do everything we can to reflect this honor and fulfill our kuleana (responsibility).
We are lineal descendants of Wainiha Valley, right here on Kaua’iʻs north shore; a valley youʻll pass as we embark out of Hanalei Bay and provide you with a personalized tour you will never forget, we guarantee it.
Our vessels were custom built on Kaua’i for Kaua’i waters. In honor of my Polynesian ancestorʻs ingenuity, we built our vessels with the catamaran design, a marine technology invented by the Polynesian people to navigate the vast Pacific Ocean.
The size and design of our ships allows our captains to navigate active waters along the Nā Pali coast, exploring sea caves, waterfalls, looking for wild life, voyaging from Kē’ē all the way to Nu’alolo Kai. This ensures you get the smoothest, most stable, and best experience of the Nā Pali Coast.
Our people are our biggest blessing. Each of our captain and crew are expert local waterman, with years of experience boating, surfing, and diving the waters right here on Kaua’iʻs north shore. They have countless stories and we encourage them to share their living legends with you, please get to know them!
Lastly, we want to keep our tour groups small to offer the most personalized experience. We share the Mo’olelo (Storied Places) for each of the significant sites: valleys, waterfalls, reefs, ridges, and beaches you will encounter down the Nā Pali Coast. Each of these places has a unique and special name, carries cultural and ecological significance, and we honor them by telling their stories.
